Developing Strategies in Emerging Clusters of Interest

Critical to facilitating clusters and innovation networks is an understanding of how technological and industrial changes can impact regional economies in areas such as university research, the activities of established businesses, and new, disruptive startups. As legacy industries continue to reinvent themselves and new sectors begin to emerge, how can places best coalesce around these apparent opportunities? In addition to a discussion on emerging industries, this session will present practitioner perspectives on how to develop cluster strategies around rapidly evolving and developing industries.
