Innovation’s Strategic Communications Toolkit
As we heard at last year’s conference, the public associates “commercialization” with ruined Christmases and “federal research” with shrimp on a treadmill. However, “scientific research” and “innovation” induce hopeful thoughts and overall support for tech-based economic development concepts is incredibly strong. To translate these lessons to practice, SSTI is working with members to produce a Communications Toolkit for Innovation Organizations, providing sample language and templates for explaining your organization to the public and other stakeholders. Participate in this session to see the draft toolkit, provide feedback and discuss how you can implement the tools into your communications strategy.
