Biography

Jared Stober spent the last 13 years building Flax USA, which manufactured consumer retail ready flax products.  Flax USA pioneered the flaxseed category and products were sold in over 16,000 retail locations.  In 2015, Flax USA was sold to a private investor.  During the transitionary period, Mr. Stober took a role with the North Dakota Department of Commerce to help entrepreneurs across the state grow their businesses.  Mr. Stober runs Innovate ND, a state program designed to accelerate scalable and innovative businesses located in North Dakota.  Innovate ND provides financial resources, mentoring, educational boot camps and networking which has helped over 600 entrepreneurial ventures. North Dakota is becoming a hot bed for entrepreneur activity and, recently, Fargo, ND, was recognized as the 7th best city to start a business, according to Entrepreneur Magazine.  In 2015, Mr. Stober started another venture and launched Two Track Malting, which produces craft malt for the craft brewing industry by using grain grown on his family’s sixth- generation family farm.
