Marco Perez is the Vice President of Operations for LAUNCH in Chattanooga, TN. LAUNCH empowers entrepreneurs from underserved communities through training and coaching. Mr. Perez has nearly 17 years of experience in nonprofit and corporate management in both national and international markets. He joined LAUNCH due to his belief that the sustainable economic growth of a city needs to be inclusive of the entire population especially microbusiness startups amongst minority and female owners. His role, in addition to overseeing the operations and finances at LAUNCH, is to mentor and train business owners in areas of financial management and growth strategies. One of LAUNCH’s stated objectives is to bring minorities and female microbusiness entrepreneurs into the greater conversation of the innovation district of Chattanooga. Mr. Perez sits on the Board of the Minority Business Taskforce for the City of Chattanooga, as well as the Spirit of Innovation Awards for the Chamber of Commerce. He also sits on the boards of multiple high-impact organizations in Chattanooga, such as Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise and La Paz Chattanooga. A native Costa Rica, Mr. Perez moved to Chattanooga in 2011 from Austin. Mr. Perez has a M.B.A. from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a M.A. in Ministry Leadership from Crown College.
