Rich Lunak has distinguished himself as a successful entrepreneur, corporate executive and investor. Mr. Lunak is currently President & CEO of Innovation Works and Managing Director of Riverfront Ventures. Innovation Works is one of the nation’s most active early stage technology investors and also manages the nationally ranked AlphaLab accelerator programs. Riverfront Ventures is an early stage venture fund that he founded in 2013. Early in his career, Mr. Lunak was a successful technology entrepreneur/inventor who helped build one of Pittsburgh’s most successful and enduring technology startups. He helped lead Automated Healthcare, a healthcare robotics company, from a startup to a successful acquisition by McKesson Corporation. At McKesson, Mr. Lunak was the architect of several disruptive growth strategies that helped McKesson launch businesses that became market leaders in their respective segments. As Group President, McKesson Automation, he led five autonomous business units and was responsible for all aspects of the businesses, including acquisitions, sales, marketing, R&D, manufacturing and service. Mr. Lunak serves on the board of the Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association and is a past chair of the Three Rivers Venture Fair. He holds several U.S. patents and is a member of numerous boards. He is also a winner of the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Carnegie Science Center Entrepreneur Award and inaugural Pittsburgh Venture Capital Association Impact Award. A technologist as well as an entrepreneur, Mr. Lunak received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
